The United States Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is seeking applications for its “Improving Criminal Justice Responses to Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Grant Program”.

 

The Improving Criminal Justice Responses to Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Program encourages state, local, and tribal governments and courts to treat domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking as serious violations of criminal law requiring the coordinated involvement of the entire criminal justice system.

OVW Priority Areas

  • Reduce violent crime against women and promote victim safety
  • Increase the response to victims of trafficking.

  • Award Ceiling: $1,000,000
  • Award Floor: $0

Eligibility Criteria

  • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
  • State governments
  • County governments
  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • City or township governments
  • State and local courts; State, tribal, or territorial sexual assault or domestic violence coalitions and government rape crisis centers (in a state other than a territory).
