The West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation is accepting proposals from area non-profits for its annual Community Impact Grants. The organization will focus on projects and initiatives that benefit residents of Madison County for its upcoming 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Early Grant Information for NGOs

The Foundation was established in 1985 to strengthen the health and well-being of their region by serving as a catalyst for positive changes in healthcare, education, the arts, and other causes. It provides philanthropic support for West Tennessee Healthcare and its eighteen county service area, and it enhances the quality of life for local residents by supporting programs, initiatives, and organizations serving rural West Tennessee.

Funding Information

The Foundation will award one project up to $30,000. Subsequent grants will be awarded based on the remaining funds.

The Foundation supports programs and projects that benefit the people of Madison County.
There is no specific area(s) of focus for these awards. However, priority will be on projects that improve the health and well-being of the community.
These awards will not fund loans or debt service, unrestricted operating support, endowments, grants to individuals or areas of government, or fundraising events.
Applicants must have 501 (c)(3) status or be a current, active fund of the Foundation, in good standing.
Grants are for a one-year term – July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022. Funding should not be requested for projects that fall outside of the funding term.
Grantees may apply for funding for the same project for no more than two consecutive years.
Required Documents

Project budget which includes:
Anticipated income (source, amount, restrictions, and whether secured or pending).
Anticipated expenses (overall project expenses and what line item(s) this grant award will specifically be used to fund.
501 (c)(3) determination letter (unless a fund of the Foundation).
If applicable, please include information pertaining to permits, permissions, or licenses for your project.
