CFPs: PEPFAR Grants Program in Mozambique

Deadline: 25-Feb-22

The Centers for Disease Control – CGH is pleased to announce the grant program to support the Mozambican Ministry of Health (MISAU) with Human Resources for Health to Achieve HIV Epidemic Control under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

This NOFO aims to increase access to and the supply of qualified health professionals, technical specialists, and administrative support staff in all provinces, specifically as it relates to HIV and TB programming. Human resource (HR) services and support will include planning, distribution, advertisement, recruitment, deployment, compensation, payroll administration, personnel support, and human resource management (HRM).

In addition, this NOFO will increase access to technical expertise through short-term contracts and consultants to support human resource information systems (HRIS) and ensure human resource for health (HRH) capacity building activities for new and existing staff through coordination of in-service training using different learning platforms including TelesSaude.

This NOFO will be aligned with local compensation and labor laws in Mozambique and will aim to implement sustainable HR practices, including the transitioning of staff hired through this NOFO to the local government.

The purpose of this NOFO is to provide critical HR services and support recruitment of suitably qualified and experienced individuals, consultants, and organizations to achieve HIV epidemic control in Mozambique. Collaborative activities will help fill a substantial HR capacity gap and lead to expanded availability and quality of HIV/AIDS-related services nationally, including programs for HIV prevention, counselling and testing, male circumcision, and comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, including ART.
