Expected durationThree months starting from 01 October to 31 December 2021 excluding the JO posting period
Duties and ResponsibilitiesObjective :
The assignment is to support Property Management Unit – PP&E to verify the existence and the status of the capitalised and non-capitalized properties.
Responsibilities :
Under the overall direction of PMU Chief and the direct supervision of the Supervisor of PP&E, the verification clerks will be assigned to perform the following tasks:
1. Using the assigned verification sheet provided by PP&E supervisor to physically verify the existence, status and location of the capitalised and non-capitalised properties;2. Compile the completed verified assets on spread sheet.3. Submit the completed equipment data sheets to the Supervisor to review and update on PP&E mass upload template;4. Report and replace any missing tracking stickers (asset and serialised numbers),5. Report on any discrepancies between the properties in the data and physically verified;6. Segregate obsolete and unfound properties and submit report to the supervisor for appropriate decision;7. Perform any other activity as directed by the supervisor of PP&E
Qualifications/special skillsAcademic Qualifications: High school diploma, Micro-soft applications i.e. excel and data management are required. knowledge of IT, strong data entry and data management skill is an asset.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in supply management and logistics area is required .
Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Excellent English writing ability, knowledge of French or another official United Nations language is advantageous.
