Call for Applications: Strengthening Policies and Funding for Health and Immunization in Côte D’ivoire

Advocacy Initiative for Immunization is currently seeking applications from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to advocate for strengthening policies and funding for health and immunization in Côte d’Ivoire.
The objective of this call for tenders is to identify civil society organizations (CSOs) with experience in communication and advocacy for a 4-year initiative to increase domestic funding for immunization and health.
The African Population Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international non-governmental charitable organization that conducts high quality research on health and education issues in sub-Saharan Africa. APHRC has partnered with the Ghana-based West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), which will lead capacity-building in this multi-country project entitled “Advocacy Initiative for Immunization”.
More specifically, this initiative will support CSOs to implement targeted advocacy campaigns. The objective is to sensitize stakeholders on the need for a country to become responsible for the health of its population by providing quality health services and increasing the financing of its services in a context of declining external aid.
In the absence of a particular order, organizations with experience in the following sectors are encouraged to apply:
- Health and vaccination
- Governance and responsibility
- Human rights
- Internal financing and budgeting
- Rights of the child
- Women’s empowerment
- Professional organizations such as pediatric associations, lawyers, doctors, nurses and any other relevant bodies
- Must be an organization registered in the country of origin.
- Must have experience in advocacy, engagement with policy makers and campaign for a better life for all.
