Reference Number: SHRBLR010 Responsibilities: Assisting the President in implementing the BCCP; including setting up and providing governance for project teams if required;Proactively identifying and developing risks controls where appropriate, for risks related to business continuity, crisis management, people and technology;Drawing up the different BCCP Budgets;Commissioning and supervising Readiness Testing and making recommendations arising from results of the testing;Reporting the status of the BCCP capability annually to the President;Providing hands-on assistance to staff and their families upon the occurrence of a Contingency Trigger;Evaluating Contingency Trigger threats and making recommendations to the President for triggering the BCCP to ensure that any Contingency Trigger does not cause a shutdown of business;Do  frequent Business Impact assessments and ensure remedial actions are completed;Acting as the secretary to the Emergency Management Committee (EMC).Being the technical specialist on business continuity management and providing advice to the President and EMC as required.Defining and owning the annual BCM programme, integrating business process (crisis management, continuity, people, technology and facilities) including co-ordination of input from other risk mitigation functions.Developing and facilitating reporting to the EMC and providing recommendations for improvementAligning, securing and developing resources to enable programme success and required levels of reliability to be achieved.Sponsoring the production and distribution of all BCM related documentation and awareness materials.Report to RISKTRAC on a quarterly basis a summary of activities.Supporting Branch Manager and Department/Unit heads in the management of BCM related risk;Supporting Branch Managers and Department/Unit heads embedding BCM as an integral part of their day-to-day business operations and ensuring appropriate resource and funding is made available to develop capability and to support business recovery requirements;Supporting Branch Managers and Department/Unit heads maintain their own country office and department plan of how critical functions will be continued and ensure that requirements and business impact analysis is appropriate to ensure that key functions of the bank can still be maintained;Ensuring Branch Managers and Department/Unit heads understand and report the status of BCM;Ensuring Branch Managers and Department/Unit heads maintain contact details of department personnel to enable communications to be maintained in any disruptive eventsSupport the Head of IT to ensure: the development of the technology environment to meet business requirements for critical systems and data; the risk management of the technology environment to identify risks to business objectives; developing and implementing appropriate standards for BCM related to technology, including remote access arrangements; developing a Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure business users understand and sign-off recovery service levels and current recovery capability for technology systems; reporting technology capability and issues to the BCM Officer and EMC as required; developing and leading technology incident management capability for IT risks, such as security, privacy, loss of data/corruption and unavailability of technology infrastructure; Conducting disaster recovery simulations in line with the approved DR planSupport the Head of Human Resources to ensure: Developing and annually maintaining the HR elements of the BCM and CM capability, including internal communications; Ensuring the methodology is available to embed BCM roles and responsibilities in staff personal objectives in the performance management system; Ensuring training and awareness of BCM roles and responsibilities is coordinated and resourced, in conjunction with the BCM officer; Developing and implementing policies such as home working, travel and succession planning to improve the resilience of the bank to people related risks; Developing arrangement to support the Crisis Management Team, EMC and department management with HR support.Support the Facilities Manager to ensure that: resilience of property infrastructure is appropriate to support business continuity requirements for continuance of critical activities; developing annual governance mechanisms to ensure the EMC understand and sign-off service levels and current levels of utility capability for the HQ building; supporting property requirements for effective emergency management planning are in place, which would include risk identification and assessment and development and embedding of plans and arrangements; arrangements for local recovery locations (including ‘go-bags’) are provided and up-to-date for testing and operational use if requiredAny other duties as may be assigned by management. Requirements: Qualification and SkillA relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University, a Master’s degree in a relevant field or a recognised professional qualification in lieu;Minimum of 8 years experience as a BCM specialist in an international bank or large corporate institution;Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change oriented setting;Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
