Job Description:Our client, a mining service provider, is seeking an Asset and Debtor Controller to join their team. They must have the ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems. He/she must be customer focused. Responsibilities:Debtor ManagementNew Account Application, Credit VettingMaintaining customer master dataCash collection and follow up on outstanding invoicesCredit Management reportingCash collection forecastPrepare and send customer statements and invoicesLiaise with customers and internal stakeholders, provide outstanding documentation where necessaryReconciling customer payments against outstanding invoicesLoading creditor payments on banking platformsManaging and processing of petty cash transactionsCreditor payment postingFixed AssetsCash and Cash EquivalentsOther debtorsDepositsMonth-end closure procedures for allocated sectionsRe-invoicing / Service Invoicing / Credit Note processingMonthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation preparation for allocated sectionsEnsure month-end is complete by the necessary deadline per section
Requirements: Qualification and SkillGrade 12Bookkeeping and/or Debtor Management Certificate/Diploma3-5 years working experience in a similar role.Must have Debt collection / Debtor management experienceAbility to work independentlyAbility to take initiative and drive the process to completionMeeting deadlines and targetsReport writingStrong Excel skills
