Job Description:
Our client is in need of a Chargehand Fitter with a background in shaft and winder equipment to join their team in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
Complete daily inspection checklists for tools and equipment and work areas as well as reporting any problems and making recommendations.
Conduct all fitting work that supports maintenance, diagnostic repairs and installations on winders and shaft equipment.
Maintain workshop areas, equipment and tools.
Ensure safe and effective operation of the shaft winder.
Participate in planning process.
Requirements:
Trade tested Fitter.
Winder and ropes certificate.
N3 Certificate in Engineering Studies.
Matric certificate.
Well-versed on electronic diagnostic tools and systems.
7 years’ experience in the maintenance of shaft and winder equipment with at least 2 years in a Foreman, Chargehand or Supervisory position.
A or B symbol on Dover assessment.
Valid driver’s license.
Previous experience working with a culturally diverse team.
Only candidates residing in South Africa with South African citizenship will be considered.
Contractual Information:
Permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be required to relocate.
