Beckley Area Foundation: Community Grant Program – U.S.

Deadline: 30-Nov-20

The Beckley Area Foundation (BAF) is seeking applications for its Community Grant Program to address the community’s most pressing needs and promising opportunities.

The Beckley Area Foundation, Inc. was established in January 1985 by ten community-minded citizens. It began with a gift of $1.1 million from the Dr Thomas Walker Memorial Health Foundation as “seed” money for this Raleigh County project. BAF assets have grown to nearly $42 million in 474 different funds managed by our three trustee banks. Today, the Beckley Area Foundation is one of West Virginia’s largest community foundations.

Priority Areas

BAF makes annual discretionary grants to charitable organizations serving Raleigh County in the areas of:

Education;
Health and Human Services;
Arts;
Public recreation;
Civic beautification;
Economic Development.
Funding Information

At the current time, no more than $7,000 per year will be awarded to an individual organization through the discretionary grant process.
