Australian Consulate-General in Bali launches Direct Aid Program for 2019 – 2020

Applicants are invited to submit applications for Direct Aid Program for 2019 – 2020 which is a flexible small grants scheme funded by the Australian Government and administered by the Australian Consulate-General in Bali. The primary objective of DAP is to promote sustainable community development initiatives that help communities boost their living standards.

The Consulate-General is pleased to invite interested non-government organizations (NGOs), Yayasans and community groups to submit proposalsthat support sustainable community development in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

All applications will be considered.  As in the past, The Australian Consulate-General will look to continue to support women and girls’ empowerment, childand youth and other disadvantaged groups, including those with disabilities. This year, they also have an interest in projects that address environmental, sustainable tourism, and waste management, especially at the village level.

DAP funds are made available for community groups and non-government organizations engaged in development activities on a not-for-profit basis. All applicants must submit complete application forms, budgets and implementation plans.

What kinds of projects are most likely to receive funding?

Projects should have a clear objective, show a demonstrated need and be financially transparent. DAP favours projects where recipients have made or are making a significant contribution themselves in labour or administrative costs. Projects should be completed in a time frame of up to 12 months and should have a workable implementation plan.
