Budget must adhere to grant guidelines (10,000 USD);
Proposed project must be relevant to the theme of the call (Activities that focus on security, safety and emergency, Projects/ activities that support creating safe spaces and support groups online and offline, Projects/ activities that build communities and campaigning);
Project must be implemented in relevant geographical area (Egypt);
Project timeline must adhere to grant guidelines (12 months);
Applicant must NOT be an AFE staff member or relative;
Applicant must NOT have received two consecutive competitive grants from AFE;
Applicant must NOT have an ongoing grant with AFE;
Cost estimation in budget breakdown must be realistic;
Indirect costs must not exceed 20% of total grant budget (2,000 USD);
Budget items must be clear with notes explaining unclear items where necessary;
Budget must be prepared in USD;
Shortlisted applicants must further engage in the participatory selection procedures.
