APM Terminals operates one of the world’s most comprehensive port and integrated inland service networks and continues investing in new business opportunities as well as upgrading current facilities. Project Execution (PE) is the function responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for project implementations, governance and standards to be used in the APM Terminals wide organization and is directly responsible for large CAPEX driven projects including greenfields, major expansion as well as upgrades and retrofits to existing facilities.We will soon kick off significant capital expansion project at our existing operation in Tangier, Morocco. The goal of the project is to both grow the existing container terminal business for APM Terminals TM2 as well as expand the business value and proposition for entire West Med. The objective of this position is to manage, direct and control the delivery of the civil packages. This includes all civil infrastructure within the TM2-2 project scope.

Key responsibilities• Responsibility for project review of all design relevant to the Civil Works Package, including (but not limited to), Project Empoyer’s Requirements, FEED, Contractor Tender Design, Contractor Detailed Design.• Drive and lead construction of the Civil Works on-site, including (but not limited to) execution and delivery of all the marine, civil (including heavy civil), ground & site investigation and testing and building assets in the project – in line with the project’s scope, timeline, quality, budget and objectives.• Responsible for directly managing the Design Consultant, PMC, Civil Contractor and any other Parties involved in the Civil Works package on the Project.• Accountabilty for close cooperation with the other Asset Package Managers, including Automation, Equipment and IT Managers to understand and manage critical dependencies affecting construction.• Accountable for managing all changes to the civil scope, schedule and budget, working in close coordinate with Project Controls.• Accountable for delivery of all project deliverables and outputs involved in the Civil Package, including (but not limited to), design submissions, as-built packages, O&M manuals, updats to risk, assumption and issues registers.• Together with the Technical Lead, act as APMT point of contact towards the civil consultants and contractors.• Lead the design, manage works supervision and control progress on site and in a transparent manner (the execution and delivery of works are the designers’ and contractors’ responsibilities).• Ensure that commissioning, safety and compliance are addressed early in the project.• Actively supports the HSSE Manager with the promotion, coaching and enforcement of site safety.• Assist with ensuring that APMT and our supply chain meets all agreed health and safety legislation and objectives and that appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place.• Track construction progress against the approved baseline and, where appropriate, ensure issues are pro-actively addressed, resolved and/or escalated and reported.• Analyse schedules, assess delays and report on (possible) mitigative or corrective measures.• Meet regularly with the designers and contractors to maintain full awareness of issues which may impact safety, scope, progress, interfaces, milestones and/or budget.

We are looking for• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in a civil engineering and/or construction project related environment .• Project or package management experience, where exposure to project controls has a preference.• Good working knowledge of Civil Works contract, particularly involving design & build; knowledge of FIDIC contracts has a preference• Experience of managing large scale infrastructure construction projects or packages with multiple reports and with clear responsibility on achieving safety, time and budget targets.• Have a strong understanding of design and construction, built on a solid foundation of technical engineering skills.• Team player, capable of motivating peers and reports in order to achieve project success.• Good communication skils, where sufficient level of English and French is a must.• Driven, self-motivating, result orientated.• High discipline – following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation.• High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care.• Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, in regard to colleagues, employees of designers and contractors, and other stakeholders.POSTULER
