The Fund of Ambassadors of the United States for Cultural Preservation is a program administered by the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State of the United States that grants preservation grants of cultural heritage through the Sections of Culture, Press and Education of embassies Americans, in the countries development.

The AFCP will consider those proposals for projects that include activities in any of these categories:

Cultural sites;
Objects and collections cultural;
Archaeological Collections;
Ethnographic Objects;
General Conservation of the Museum;
Manuscripts;
Paintings and Sculpture;
Forms of Expressions Traditional Cultural;
Craftsmanship;
Dance;
Drama;
Languages;
Music;
Ceremonies;
Traditional Knowledge.
Ineligible Activities

The AFCP will not support the following activities or costs, and requests that involve any of the following activities or costs will be considered ineligible:

All Fundraising Features at one place

The preservation or purchase of cultural property, collections or real estate of private or commercial property, including those whose transfer of ownership private or commercial to public property is planned, planned or in the process but is not completed at the time of request;
Conservation of natural heritage (physical, biological and geological formations, paleontological collections, a habitat of threatened species of animals and plants, fossils, etc.);
Preservation of hominids or human remains;

Creation of the new or modern adaptation of dances, songs, songs, musical compositions, plays or other performances;
Creation of replicas or conjectural reconstructions of cultural objects or sites that no longer exist;
Relocation of cultural sites from one physical location to another;
Elimination of cultural objects or elements of cultural sites in the country by Any reason;
Digitization of cultural objects or collections, unless they are part of a broader and clearly defined conservation or documentation effort;
Conservation plans or other studies, unless they are a component of a larger project to implement the results of those studies;

Costs of fundraising campaigns;
Contingent, unforeseen or miscellaneous expenses;• Costs for work performed prior to award announcement unless otherwise allowed by 2 CFR 200.458 and approved by the grant officer;
International travel, except when the trip is justifiable and comprehensive for the success of the proposed project;
Travel or study outside the host country for professional development;
Individual projects that cost less than $ 10,000; Independent projects of the United States abroad.
