We ensure families can access clean water, food, training, and health care. We enable entire communities to be free from hunger. We enable entire communities to be free from hunger. In the past year, Action Against hunger’s global network served more than 20 million people in nearly 50 countries. Our program in Cambodia aim to deliver sustainable solutions that put communities in the driver’s seat, equipping them with vital skills, partnerships, and tools to fight undernutrition, which causes stunted growth in as many as 44 percent of children in parts of Cambodia. Prioritizing a nutrition-sensitive approach, our sectors of intervention are as diverse as the factors of undernutrition. Action Against Hunger decided to close our program in July 2020 in Cambodia. We are looking for someone to lead this end of mission and the good achievement of the 2 programs ending one in February and the second in July 2020. RequirementsPurpose of the role: Provide leadership, guidance and manage overall risks for the country office associated with the closeout phase of the Country Program. Manage the closing of Cambodia mission for Action Against Hunger in-country by working with staff members and partners, accompanied by a close support from the Headquarters. Accountabilities: Implementation and follow up of closing strategy in line with the HQ recommendations and the country context Ensure the achievement, deliverables and end of our projects in Cambodia Propose and implement action plan for the team (roles and responsibilities) in support with the HQ Monitor the closing process of the country funding plan (CFP), ensuring it reflects AAH USA core values and Program objectives Ensure adherence to organizational policies / procedures and donor rules as necessary Ensure compliance with local country laws Ensure a proper and efficient management of direct reports Establish adequate measures in terms of risk management associated to the closeout. |
