Developing a Volunteering Programme for Income Generation [Part 1]

How can a volunteer help you in generating more income?

A robust Volunteer Program can ignite magic and help charities close their funding gaps.

But how do you create a program that supports volunteers, serves the community, and assists your organization’s mission?

First, you need to identify precisely the WHY, HOW, and WHAT of your Volunteer Program – Why do you want to recruit volunteers? What do you expect from volunteers, and How can they be an added advantage in accomplishing your organization’s goals?

Part 1 of this training session focuses on assessing the feasibility of operating a volunteer placement program and the planning and preparation that has to take place before you begin to advertise it and recruit volunteers.

• After going through this training session, you will get to know:
• Why people volunteer and what motivates them to volunteer
• What are the different types of volunteers
• What preparations have to take place to establish a paid volunteer experience
• What are the risks included, and how to minimize it
• What to have in a volunteer job description and format followed
