Title: Program Manager
Location: Dakar, Bamako or Abidjan
Reports to: MD & Co-Founder
Reportees: None

Qualifications / Required Skills

3 to 5 years of full-time work experience as an entrepreneur, in a development organization, in a strategy consulting firm, in an international NGO or in a private equity fund
Complex project management experience
Bilingual (French / English)
BA or BS, Masters a plus
Proposal / Grant writing experience
Ability to work cross-culturally with a remote team
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-starter and ability to work with little supervision

Responsibilities

Manage both proposals and projects under implementation
Actively approach potential partners to pitch collaboration ideas to them
Develop full-fledged proposals and draft expressions of interest
Work alongside MDs to identify funding opportunities and reply to RFPs
Travel regionally to support key markets and engage partners
Build database of funding opportunities and potential partners operating in the space of ecosystem development and regional integration
Lead reporting for secured grants including reporting, KPI tracking and partner management
Lead logistical effort to facilitate programs’ roll-out
Screen start-ups’ and SMEs’ applications to obtain Suguba’s support
Lead program roll-out in budget-conscious manner
Drive the organization of regional conferences or gatherings

Compensation

Competitive- commensurate to experience
