As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the successful candidate will drive work to ensure high standards of safeguarding are fully embedded in all that Safe Passage does as an organisation, with specific focus to protect those in the communities where we work from harm.

Safe Passage International is a young and ambitious organisation, this applies not only to our strategy and programmatic work but also out internal processes and systems, and safeguarding is no different. Safeguarding at Safe Passage is much more than compliance. We strive to build a culture of safeguarding within our organisation and with the people our organisation affects, most significantly, the people we exist for.

We prioritise work with children seeking sanctuary and are specialists in assisting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Ensuring their best interests are at the heart of our work and upholding the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child lies at the heart of what we do.

We value equality and diversity in our organisation, and strive to build a workforce reflective of the communities we work in. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith, or disability.

People with refugee or asylum-seeking backgrounds are experts by experience and are particularly encouraged to apply.

This position will have a dedicated training budget and you will be supported to grow and develop within your role.
