JOB ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER : FSN/2016/02 USAID DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE SPECIALIST (Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist – LCD EGO )

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (M&E) position is part of the Economic Growth (EG) Office within USAID/Senegal.The Monitoring and Evalua­tion Specialist’s primary responsibility will be assisting and providing expertise to Government of Senegal (GOS) agencies on preparing, planning, reviewing and monitoring implementation and progresses of the National Agricultural Investment Plan (NAIP).The purpose of the Specialist position is to (a) assist the GOS to strengthen NAIP coordination unit and Government agencies for better implementation of assistance programs to improve agri­culture in Senegal; (b) provide advice and counsel to USAID and GOS on the performances and necessary adjustments on NAIP and Feed The f uture (I TF) interventions; (c) maintain up to date data and analysis of agricultural and rural development issues in key PNIA programs; (d) promote partnerships and joint ventures in the agricultural and rural development sectors between GOS agencies, others donors supporting NAIP and USAID programs (e) assist the Mission in the implementation, analysis, alignment and monitoring of Feed The Future with NAIP programs. The incumbent will establish a network with GOS agencies and others donors programs and involving in agricultural and rural development sectors in the targeted regions

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE  POSITION:

The Development Assistance Specialist (Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist) Serves as principal advisor to USAID/Senegal management, its partners, and customers on systems for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on USAID development impact. The position is critical to the USAID com­mitment to « manage for results » and to meet the requirements of the Government Performance Reporting Act and ADS series 203.

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE  POSITION:

The Computer Management Assistant position is located in the Information Resources Management (IRM) Division of the Regional Executive Office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support to users in Senegal Mission and in field offices (Niger, Burkina. Mauritania Chad, and Host government facilities in Senegal), install, maintain and repair Mission’s computer equipment including Local Area Network (LAN) system. PC system, core servers, and network devices; and advise Mission on all computer/telecommunication related issues. S/he performs and provides analysis, programming, operations and management advisory service in support of increasing efficiency and effectiveness of operations through increased automation. S/he provides management advices and recommends procurement of software and Information Technology (IT) equipment.
