The Nillumbik Shire Council is pleased to launch the 2021-22 Annual History & Heritage Grants Program to fund related projects.

History and heritage contribute to shaping the community. Activities involving history and heritage enrich the lives, allow them to share their stories, and explore what has passed, whilst also informing the future. This in turn can aid health and wellbeing, enhance knowledge and skills, build connections and bring joy.

Priority will be given to new and innovative grant projects that provide opportunities for the community to engage with the local history and heritage as part of an active and creative lifestyle.

Funding Information
Grants up to $600 from a grant pool of $8,105 are available.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for History & Heritage Grant, applicants MUST:

Be a not-for-profit incorporated organisation or community group that lives, works, studies, volunteers or plays in Nillumbik, or has a strong connection to Nillumbik.
Be auspiced by a not-for-profit incorporated organisation if applicants are unincorporated, an individual or a commercial business. Organisations can auspice multiple applications
Hold a minimum of $10 million public liability insurance
Have satisfactorily acquitted all grants previously awarded
Be able to deliver the project by 30 June 2022.
