BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

The Private Sector Specialist’s primary responsibility is to work on all issues pertaining to private sector development, including the policy and regulatory environment for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the enabling environment for increased investments, and employment. As such, the Private Sector Specialist provides expertise on private scctor business development services, value chain development, entrepreneurship development, and the policy and regulatory environment for private sector development The incumbent’s duties/responsibilities will involve a full range of consultative, advisory, design, planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of all private sector related activities within the EGO.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT  NUMBER: FSN/2016/14 USAID EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

This position supports the Education Team and its overall strategy for investments in the sector, with a particular focus on the implementation of new Mission programming designed to increase equitable access to education for children and youth in Southern Senegal.

Under the general guidance of the Education Team Leader, and direct supervision by the « Access to Education » sub-team lead, Uie incumbent will: provide substantive advice and support in the formulation and administration of specific activities; actively monitor and report on implementation progress in the field; and contribute to the conception, design, and development of specific program activities. S/he will analyze and evaluate post-government activities in the education sector to determine their impact on USAID activities and make recommandations to learn leadership and Mission management on the same. S/he will research assigned subjects  from a variety of sources and prepare factual and analytical reports dealing with important aspects of assigned areas of expertise.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER : FSN/2016/15 USAID DATA ANALYST

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 

Under the auspices of the Program Office, the data analyst serves as the USAID/Senegal Mission’s expert in data- relaled analysis and retention issues for USAID/Senegal development objective (DO) Teams and their partners. The position is critical to driving evidence-based decision making at the Mission and to ensuring the USAID commitment to « manage for results » and to meet the requirements of the Government Performance Reporting Act and ADS series 203
