Position Summary

• Reporting directly to the Country IT Manager, the IT Specialist is mainly responsible for maintaining Securiport’s proprietary Integrated Immigration Control System (IICS), providing Lead Server and Network Administration support for the underlying infrastructure nation-wide.

• The IT Specialist is also involved in a wide array of projects that complement the Securiport IICS’s quality and performance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• IICS infrastructure deployments, installations, maintenance, administration and troubleshooting.

• Reconfigure servers, routers and switches to continuously improve High Availability features.

• Reconfigure databases to maintain data retention, redundancy, security and confidentiality.

• Coordinates regularly with third parties such as manufacturers and partners.

• Manage IICS Reports, Infrastructure Documents and ongoing System Optimizations.

• Develop custom tools to help with installation, maintenance, support and reporting objectives.

• Provide IICS Training to internal staff and to the client (State and government officials).

• Provide general IT support and consultation to all departments in the organization.

• Manage all phases of any ad-hoc IT project that may be requested by upper management.

• Contribute to the software development and implementation objectives (e.g. revision upgrades; emergency modifications; etc.) by coordinating all requirements between the development center and the local operation and seamlessly implement these changes in the production environment.

• Arrange project requirements through thorough analysis, preparing corresponding work flow charts and diagrams using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter expertise, programming language, and logic.

• Maintains client confidence and protects the operation by keeping all exchanged information confidential and by providing an exceptional service at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in Computer Science or related discipline;

• Four (4) years managing Windows Servers, MS-SQL, SANs, routers and switches;

• Three (3) years of Programming and Systems Design;

• Two (2) years using Visual Studio and Crystal Reports;

• Equivalent combination of Education and/or Experience accepted.

Skills:

• Installation and administration of Windows Server environments (2008 & 2012);
• Administration of Microsoft Hyper-V;
• Configuration and troubleshooting of LAN infrastructure (Cisco / Dell);
• Configuration and troubleshooting of WAN infrastructure (Cisco routers and firewalls);
• Microsoft SQLdatabaseadministration, programming and reporting;
• .Net programming.

Other:

• Must have excellent reading, writing and speaking abilities in French;

• Must have excellent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English;

• Microsoft or Ciscocertification is a plus;

• Experience with Biometric Technologies or Data Mining is a plus;

• Experience with CCTV and IP cameras is a plus;

• Experience with network cabling (cupper / fiber) is a plus;

• Experience with open source monitoring solutions is a plus.
