Tetra Tech, ES Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated to international development, is recruiting for a Administrative Assistant in our Dakar, Senegal office.
The Administrative Assistant will be a key member of the Power Africa Transactions and Reforms Program (PATRP) in Senegal. PATRP is a program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed at increasing e the supply of, and access to, reliable, affordable energy, and, when possible, lower carbon emissions in the Sub-Saharan Africa. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the PATRP-Senegal team based both in Senegal and the United States. Role will be responsible for company executive(s) calendar, meetings, files, documentation, communications, travel arrangements and other office projects and activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs administrative duties for Regional Transaction Advisor (RTA).
May assist Transaction Advisors based in remote locations.
Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple resources, planning meetings, troubleshooting minor technical problems, preparing reports;
Responsibilities may include screening calls; managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; take and classify the minutes of meetings;
Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, filing;
Data entry and filing; Maintaining Senegal PATRP’s office database records; enter data points in the PATT to help keep it updated;
Performs a variety of Internet research functions, including to insure a lookout for events related to the electricity sector in West Africa
Helping with event planning, creating or updating presentation software files, tracking budgets and processing expense reports;
May also be involved in monitoring activity and posting content for PATRP media.
Any other duties as assigned.

Job Closing Date
High School diploma required.
Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience; preferably in the energy industry. Some experience in international working environment.
Experience or demonstrated interest in power and energy issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Demonstrated organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
Strong written communication, editing, proofing and grammar skills.
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Must be fluent in French and English.
