This is a 21 days on / 7 days off roster in our Sabodala Gold Operations and is open to Senegalese nationals based in Senegal.

The SharePoint Developer will be a key member of the Business Performance team and will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Continuing the development of the existing company dashboard (Teranga Net)
  • Capturing business intelligence information
  • Consolidating the other satellite databases and systems into a single platform

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop appropriate systems using the SharePoint enterprise platform to analyze, display, report and communicate site performance data
  • Develop an interface to enable compilation, display and communication of real-time production data from mining and processing data services
  • Integrate various site databases into one common platform
  • Develop and implement real time data reporting and analytical mechanisms for executive reporting and analysis
  • Provide system wide support for the effective use of the SharePoint internal environments and applications
  • Design and upgrade content for new releases of SharePoint software, including operating systems and SQL software
  • Develop new code, web parts, feature extensions, search functions, custom forms, enhancements, templates and workflows
  • Review, analyze and modify SharePoint applications which includes fixing bugs, configurations, security checks and testing environment with production
  • Complete incident and request resolution for the SharePoint environment and applications logged with help desk support system
  • Document user requirements for new enhancements or solutions
  • Participate in the review of new application requests through projects, including evaluation of buy and build alternatives and application implementation
  • Prepare and review training materials for SharePoint applications and deliver training to users and team members
  • Develop standardized performance measurement metrics and site business optimization through economic analysis
  • Establish a set of lead and lag business/financial indicators
  • Ensure there are appropriate systems to analyze and compare performance to agreed internal policies and procedures and standards and requirements from external parties
  • Identify areas of weakness or shortfalls and suggest performance improvement initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Formal degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or Information Technology with a MSCE SharePoint certification
  • At least 5 years’ of experience in a similar Information Management Systems in a mining environment
  • Extensive experience in the design, maintenance and support of SharePoint environments including workflow solutions, document management systems and practical applications, such as Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack
  • A hands-on, technical approach combined with knowledge in web development and excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven skills and knowledge of PowerShell, ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript.Net, InfoPath, SharePoint BI and SharePoint Designer
  • Proficient in Business performance improvement methodologies and techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Process oriented with a focus in continuous improvement
  • Must possess strong cultural sensitivity and be able to execute work successfully in a different culture
