We are currently looking for an
IT Manager (M/F)
Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager in country, the IT Manager is responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, risk and performance of the Securiport immigration control system.
The IT Manager supervises staff to ensure operations plans including 100% of system availability 24/7, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives.
He/she also works on various IT developmental programs that would help the immigration control system reach newer heights.
Responsibilities & Objectives
Oversee all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with Accounting to develop budget and to submit to General Manager in the country;
Review status reports and manages production of Technical Coordinator, Advanced Support Specialist and Software Developer and addresses issues as appropriate;
Lend expertise to internal teams and task forces;
Participate in all programs and enforces standard company policies and procedures and reports to the General Manager in the country;
Review management evaluations for consistency and submit them to General Manager;
In liaison with the General Manager support human resources within the IT department;
Set annual targets related to IT operations and monitor the overall performance of the entire department;
In consultation with the General Manager, design and implement IT policies;
Anticipate future system needs and identify proactive solutions to satisfy needs in consultation with General Manager;
Come up with innovative ideas and keep current of the latest technology.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field; combination Bachelor degree and work experience also acceptable.
Must be fluent in English (writing and speaking), French, Spanish, or Portuguese language skills required depending on location of position.
Project management experience required; two years’ experience with deployed immigration control software and hardware a plus.
Other:
Experience with the use of biometric technologies or data mining is a plus.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills required.
Excellent work ethic – professionalism, responsibility, and proactive.
Experience working with and supervising a team.
Software development experience required.
Computer Skills:
MS SQL, Crystal Report, Microsoft.net (visual studio) MS project, or MS Visio a plus.
